  • Linda LVT

My name is Linda and I have been a licensed tech at Countryside for 13 years.  I graduated from The Median school in 1987.  I have experience in animal research and shelter work.
I became involved in this field because I've always loved animals and when I got laid off at the mill I decided animals were the way to go.  Animals can't yell at you like people, they just bite.  My favorite part about working in this field is helping pets and their owners.
My favorite family tradition is fishing with my two brothers and sister.  We also love Thanksgiving time.  I have one cat at home, Ebby (Moo Moo) she is 13 years old and she is a very laid back lady who loves belly rubs.  She was a research cat that I adopted.
When I'm not at work I enjoy spending time with my friends, fishing, gardening and laying on the beach without a care in the world.
I have yet to find my favorite place to be in the world.  If I could be any animal I would chose to be a cat that lives the life and stay healthy until the last day on earth.

My name is Lucy. I am a veterinary technician and have been with Countryside Veterinary hospital for two years.  I attended to the Vet Tech Institute of Pittsburgh.  I live in Greensburg and have two of the best fur babies, Mystic and Louie.

I joined this field because I have a passion for helping animals and their owners.  I enjoy getting to know everyone who walks in the door both human and animal.

When I’m not at work I enjoy spending time with Mystic my 14 year old cat that I adopted from Countryside.  I also enjoy spending time with my large family; holidays are a busy time for us and one of my favorite things about having a large family.  I also enjoy cleaning.

My favorite part about working in this field is that everyday brings something new. I am constantly learning new things.

My favorite place in the world to be is the Outer Banks in North Carolina.  If I could be any animal I would be a flamingo.

  • Kristen

My name is Kristen.  I’ve been a Veterinary technician at Countryside for 1 year.  I graduated from the Vet Tech Institute of Pittsburgh in 2014.  I grew up in Martinsburg, Pa. I now reside in Irwin with my husband. My husband and I have been married for 3 years and are expecting our first child in October.

I became involved in this field because I was always told growing up that I’d be a great fit for this profession and everyone was right.  I love this field because everyday is a different experience and it is never the same old boring routine.  I love to share my knowledge with others.  I try to be the voice for the animals who cannot speak for themselves.  My favorite part about my job is helping with surgical procedures.

I have 2 cats, Gracie and Pumpkin. I adopted Gracie from the Vet tech Institute and I’ve had Pumpkin since he was a kitten.  Pumpkin is definitely a momma’s boy and Gracie is a very vocal, loving and friendly cat.  I have a mini Goldendoodle named Karlie. I adopted her in 2016, she is very active, rambunctious, loves to chew the stuffing out of her toys and go for walks with her Pappy.

When I’m not at work I enjoy baking, I enjoy finding new recipes and trying them out.  I am also very passionate about my family and like to spend as much time as possible riding around in the golf cart on the family golf course.

My favorite place in the world is Disney World.  If I could be any animal I would be a panda.
