My name is Kristen.   I graduated from the Vet Tech Institute of Pittsburgh in 2014.  I grew up in Martinsburg, Pa. I now reside in Irwin with my husband and two young sons.

I became involved in this field because I was always told growing up that I’d be a great fit for this profession and everyone was right.  I love this field because everyday is a different experience and it is never the same old boring routine.  I love to share my knowledge with others.  I try to be the voice for the animals who cannot speak for themselves.  My favorite part about my job is helping with surgical procedures.

I have 2 cats, Gracie and Milo. I adopted Gracie from the Vet tech Institute and Milo is a rescued kitten. I have a mini Goldendoodle named Karlie. I adopted her in 2016, she is very active, rambunctious, loves to chew the stuffing out of her toys and go for walks with her Pappy.

When I’m not at work I enjoy baking, I enjoy finding new recipes and trying them out.  I am also very passionate about my family and like to spend as much time as possible riding around in the golf cart on the family golf course.

My favorite place in the world is Disney World.  If I could be any animal I would be a panda.
